Ah, Rory and Cousin Whats-her-Name. Two characters I never used enough.
At this point in my life, Luther’s religiosity really rubs me the wrong way. I guess it reflects the way I thought Christians were supposed to act, based on my weird Fundamentalist Lutheran/Evangelical/Mainline/Pentecostal upbringing. Also, yes: rock and roll saved Luther’s mortal soul. I never really developed that, but it is totally Luther’s backstory.
Anne. That’s her name. Anne Fish, I guess? She could have a different last name, being a cousin, but I’m going to go easy on myself and make her a Fish.
It’s not unusual to be loved by anyone. Even your lesbian cousin.
Man, Luther’s old roommate was a total douche. I’ll have to bring him back as a villain, later.
So, this sequence is kind of self righteous. But you know what? The world is full of people like this. Fuck them. Don’t punch them, though. That makes you no better than them.
